November 12, 2021 • Elder Bryce Lowrance Psalm 47 “Clapping, Shouting, and Singing” – In this Psalm celebrating the victories of God, we find that we should not hold back our praise of God. If we are truly excited about God’s grace we may even find ourselves clapping with “happy sounds.” In particular, this Psalm celebrates the ascension of Christ back to His throne. At that moment, there was shouting in heaven. David then tells us that we should respond with continual singing.

November 5, 2021 • Brother Jonah Lowrance “Live Like a Son” Galatians 4:1-9 – When we follow any version of legalism in salvation, we are acting like hired servants. God intends for us to live in the liberty of the finished work of Christ as His children.
Elder Bryce Lowrance Psalm 23 “The Lord is MY Shepherd” – When we walk in paths of righteousness, we recognize that Jesus is our Good Shepherd. With that assurance, we can face every trouble, trial or enemy in the peace of God.

November 28, 2021 “Cast Down But Not Destroyed” 2nd Corinthians 4 – Elder Bryce Lowrance The Apostle Paul teaches us that we must have a greater perspective of the power of God in order to not be overtaken by the world. We have been given the treasure of the gospel in earthen vessels. Therefore, we need to remember that troubles and trials will come into our lives, but they are not the end of the story.

November 14, 2021

November 14, 2021 “The Letter to the Church at Laodicea” Revelation 3:14-22 – Elder Bryce Lowrance The church at Laodicea declares itself sufficient with its doctrine and practice of religion. However, Jesus calls them lukewarm and tells them that they need to repent of their formalities and be all-in for the Lord. If they do, they will be able to join Him in His ascended position at the right hand of the Father. This means that they will be fully satisfied with the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Brother Jonah Lowrance preaches from Galatians, Chapter 3 explaining to us what the true purpose of the law of Moses was. It was to show us the need we have for a savior and point us toward Jesus Christ. Any law we make for ourselves cannot save us Only the blood of Jesus Christ, the perfect sacrifice, is sufficient to redeem us.
Elder Bryce Lowrance preaches from Psalm 117. This Psalm is the shortest chapter in the Bible but it has a huge amount say about the reasons for praise to be given to God. God has done everything for us. Therefore, we owe praise to God in every aspect of our life.

Psalm 113 • “The Circle of Praise” (October 31, 2021) Elder Bryce Lowrance. Psalm 113 is the first Psalm of the Hillel or “praise” Psalms (114-118 are the others). This collections of Psalms was sung during the various Jewish festivals. In this Psalm, David shows us that God should be praise by everyone, all the time, and in all places.

October 24, 2021

October 17, 2021

Psalm 42 • October 17, 2021 In this beloved Psalm of David, the author has a conversation with his own soul. For anyone who has ever had doubts and fears about how much the Lord cares, this Psalm gives great hope! Regardless of the circumstances of life, God will never leave us nor forsake us. So we, like David, should charge ourselves to hope in God.

October 10, 2021

Isaiah 52:1-12 • Awake, Oh, Church! – Elder Bryce Lowrance (October 10, 2021) The prophecy of Isaiah 52 has its historical fulfillment when Israel was delivered from Babylonian and Persian captivity. But a closer look reveals that Isaiah is pointing toward a much grander deliverance. This prophecy is about the deliverance of the elect family of God by the finished work of Jesus Christ. Therefore, Isaiah is telling the church to awake, preach, and praise God in song.

Psalm 61 • The Rock That Is Higher Than I – Elder Bryce Lowrance (October 3, 2021) Preaching from Psalm 61, Elder Bryce teaches about the progression of the four “I Will” statements David makes in this Psalm. David says “I will cry.” Since the Lord will hear and answer, David says that he will abide in the tabernacle of God and trust Him. Finally, David recognizes that all his hope and peace comes from the Lord so he says, “I will sing praises.”

Psalm 137 • By the Rivers of Babylon – Elder Bryce Lowrance (September 26, 2021) Psalm 137 is ironic in that it is a song about not being able to sing. The children of Israel were in captivity in Babylon and could not sing a song of joy because they were mourning for their sins and were away from Zion. We too should have this same attitude about our sins and the things that would separate us from the Lord’s church.

September 19, 2021

September 19, 2021 • “Have the Mind of Christ” Brother Jeff Autry preaches from Philippians, Chapter 2 where Paul gives the examples of Timothy and Epaphroditus for us to follow. These two men have more concern for the well being and hope of others than they do for themselves.

Elder Bryce Lowrance • Psalm 34:8-22 “Church in the Cave” Elder Bryce continues his message from Psalm 34 by reviewing the events that led up to the writing of the Psalm and the first seven verses. Then, he relates David’s experience of deliverance by God and his exhortation to others to trust in the Lord. David calls on us to just “taste” the fact that the Lord is good.

September 12, 2021

September 12, 2021 • The Lord Is Trustworthy” Brother Jonah Lowrance considers the subject of trust. Why should we trust God? Brother Jonah goes to the book of Daniel chapter 5 and the account of the “writing on the wall.” He then explains how God spoke through Isaiah the prophet a couple hundred years before the events found in Daniel and how God fulfills prophecy and always keeps his promises.

Elder Bryce Lowrance • Psalm 34:1-7 “I Will Bless the Lord at All Times”
Following Brother Jonah, Elder Bryce Lowrance preaches concerning Psalm 34 and just what exactly David was doing before he uttered the words found in Psalm 34. He looks at David’s fears and what is recorded in 1st Samuel when David flees from King Saul and the terrible sequence of events that David causes. Despite that, David finally realizes where his hope is found, penning the words found in Psalm 34. What can we learn from David’s experience? What happens when we don’t trust the Lord? What happens when we do trust Him?

September 5, 2021

September 5, 2021 • Elder Bryce Lowrance – Psalm 6 In this Psalm, David does not plead to have his chastisement to cease. He prays that he would see that God loves him and that is why he needs correction. Further, he prays that his desire to sin be taken away so that he walks upright. David concludes the Psalm by praying that the devil and temptation would be ashamed for even trying to persuade him to walk away from the Lord.

August 29, 2021

August 29, 2021 • Elder Bryce Lowrance – Psalm 8 When we consider the wonders of heaven, we see that God’s glory is beyond our imagination and that man, in his fallen state, is insignificant and wretched. So, why does God even consider us? The answer is only found in one place — the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In this message, he teaches us how the Lord intends for us to handle the various temptations and trials of life.

The Perfect Law of Liberty • July 4, 2021 (James 1:17-27) The writer, James, expounds upon the conclusion Jesus makes in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 7. He gives further examples of the life of those who rejoice in the preaching of the gospel but do not apply it to their lives. They have no true identity and seem to be lost in this world. To the contrary, those that hear the gospel and try to live it in their daily lives, see Christ in themselves. They have peace and enjoy “true liberty.”

June 13, 2021

Psalm 2 • June 13, 2021 Just like the times of 1st Century, the enemies of God still conspire against God and against His church. God laughed at their feeble efforts then and He laughs at them now. The people of God can take great comfort that Christ loves His bride and will protect her with all His power. The nations of the world should take heed and “kiss the Son” by acknowledging his almighty power and dominion.

June 6, 2021

Psalm 48 • June 6, 2021  Although the author and occasion of this Psalm are unknown to us, the character and content of the Psalm fits very well to the reign of King Jehoshaphat. In particular, this Psalm reflects the victory he was given when God defeated the three armies that came against him at once. The spiritual application is much like the natural history of Judah. Zion, the church, is in the perfect place to bless and protect God’s people. It is the duty of all the elect to gather themselves in a local church to “greatly praise” the Lord!

May 30, 2021

Justification • (May 30, 2021) Brother Jonah preaches from Galatians on the topic of attempting to justify ourselves by our own works. Elder Bryce continues with the same subject in Romans 7 and 8. We see from the example of the Apostle Paul that we will never find peace if we seek to justify ourselves outside of trusting and resting in the finished work of Christ. When we seek to love others, we fulfill the law, and we feel justified.

May 23, 2021

Psalm 37:1-6 • “Trust in the Lord and Do Good” (May 23, 2021) Elder Bryce preaches from Psalm 37 where David shows us the four key ways to stop fretting. We are to 1. Trust God 2. Delight in the things of God 3. Commit our lives to God and 4. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently on Him.

John tells us to put everything we hear “on trial” by comparing it to the word of God. When we do this we can have assurance that we are standing in the truth and have peace and joy despite the fact we are surrounded by wickedness and hate in the world.

March 7, 2021

1st John Series • 10. Perceive – 1st John 3:10-24 (March 7, 2021) In this message, Elder Bryce teaches us to perceive three things in our discipleship. First of all, we should understand that the world hates us because it hates righteousness. Secondly, We are to understand that God loves us because He acted upon that love and sent His Son to die for us. And lastly, in response to these two things, we should act out our love for God by actively loving others. When we do this, we perceive that we are of God. This justification by faith assures us in our own hearts that we are of God and can still live in liberty even though the whole world lies in wickedness.

February 28, 2021

Elder Larry White – Exodus 34:5-8 (February 28, 2021) Elder Larry shows that God demonstrates how He should be magnified in worship by proclaim His own glory to Moses. Whatever God says about Himself is what we should say about Him in praise. The full revelation of Who God is is Jesus Christ.

1st John Series • 9. Tadpoles and Frogs – 1st John 3:4-10 (February 28, 2021) The nature of man without God is dead in sin and serves only sin. An unregenerate person is “committed” to sinning. But when a child of God is born again, the person now has within him the nature of Christ and now has two natures. The old nature is still there but the new nature is no longer bound by sin and committed to it. He can now do righteousness. These righteous behaviors “manifest” the person as being a born-again child of God.

Brother Jonah Lowrance – “4 Things • God’s Design for Man” February 7, 2021 In this message Brother Jonah teaches about 4 basic elements (work, fellowship, proper marriage, and wisdom) designed in man at creation that we as children of God ought to not only continue in but abound in faithful living.

This age will continue until His triumphant return.

January 31, 2021

1st John Series • 5. Love Not the World (January 31, 2021) In 1st John Chapter 2, there are two major charges given to the children of God – They are to love the brethren but they are NOT to love the world. In today’s message, we find that John is telling us that the life of Jesus Christ, and His standard of holiness, is the measure to which we should compare ourselves. It is only by walking more like Christ that we gain assurance of salvation and find liberty to live our lives in joyfulness.

January 24, 2021

Elder Bryce Lowrance – 1st John Series • 4. Because – 1st John 2:312-14 (January 24, 2021) In chapter 2 of his Epistle, John has just given a major charge to the disciples of Christ to love others just like Jesus loves them. A few verses later, John will give an equally grand charge to “love not the world.” Between these two charges, he gives a small “pep rally” reminding each of us, that no matter what level of maturity we have in Christ, we are all loved and blessed by the same Father and His Son Jesus Christ. And it is “because” of these graces that John writes to them and us.
Elder Larry White – The Compassion of Christ – John 8:1-12.

January 17, 2021

1st John Series • 3. How Do We Know? – 1st John 2:3-11 (January 17, 2021) Elder Bryce continues teaching how we are to find joy in our lives even though the whole world lies in wickedness. Today’s message shows the way that we know we are chosen in Christ is when we live like Christ. In keeping Christ’s commandment to love, we show that the love of God is in us. This assures us that we were chosen by God in the covenant of election. In knowing we have this eternal life, we have true joy.

January 10, 2021

1st John Series • 2. The First Step to Finding Joy. 1/10/21 (1st John 1:4-2:2) John told his readers that his purpose for writing to them is so that they could live a joyful life even though the whole world lies in wickedness. In this message, Elder Bryce shows us that John faithfully tells us how Jesus designed for us to find that joy. In order to have a joyful walk with God from day to day we must see sin as God sees sin. We must repent of it and walk more like Jesus.

January 3, 2021

1st John Series • Two Things We Know (January 3, 2021) /1st John 5:19/ Elder Lowrance preaches a New Year’s message from several passages in 1st John. He focuses on one of the final verses where we see that there are two things “we know.” We know that we are “of God” and that “the whole world lieth in wickedness.” In this introductory sermon to 1st John, Elder Bryce charges us to understand these two things and to have the resolution to live the abundant, joyful life that God intended for us.
