“How a Believer Ought to Act” • 1st Samuel 25; Matthew 5:9; & Romans 5:1-6 – Brother Jonah Lowrance. Following the death of Samuel, David is mistreated by a man named Nabal. David decides to wipe out Nabal and all the men of his house. However, Abigail chooses to do the right thing and bring peace between them. Abigail’s name means “the joy of my father” which is exactly what we are when we try to make peace. As it is written: ” Blessed are the peacemakers for the shall be called the children of God.”
